Green Smoothies for a Spring Vitamin Boost

After the winter months our bodies often become deficient in vitamins. March is a good month to enhance one’s health with sunshine and fresh greens. Here are some excellent combinations of green smoothies to boost your immune system and revitalize your body

Honeydew & Dandelion

1 honeydew (peeled with seeds removed)
1 large bunch dandelion greens

Yields 2 quarts

Purple Teeth Masquerade

1 pint blackberries
1 ripe banana
1 mango
7 leaves of dinosaur kale (stems removed)
2 cups water

Yields 2 quarts

Grandiose Grape Smoothie

3 cups green or red grapes (seedless)
2 pears
2 cups water
1 banana
5-7 leaves of beat greens

Yields 2 quarts

Berry Blue Smoothie

2-3 cups water
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
1 ripe pear
½ bunch of purple kale

Yields 2 quarts

The Laughing Gorilla

1/2 head of romaine lettuce
2 ripe peeled and frozen bananas
2 oranges (with seeds removed)
1 mango
2 cups water

(Warning, consumption of smoothie may result in spontaneously occurring, extremely contagious gorilla laughter.)
